AODB Airport and Obstacle Database -
Airport Operational Database - Amex Options Display Book AODB - The Airport and Obstacle Database
(AODB) is a comprehensive on-line library of current and accurate airport and obstacle
information. Over 2700 airports from all over the world are available in graphical and
digital format. The purpose of the AODB is to increase air transport safety and efficiency
by providing a means for sharing information about obstacles at the world's airports. AODB - Airport
Operational Database (AODB). The enabler of airport integration and
dissemination. The overall IT strategy within large airports comprises multiple specialist
application systems, such as, FIDS, baggage handling, building management system, ATC
etc., which are utilized to provide specific application functionality. The AODB
integrates information from all of these specialist systems and provides: central storage
for a wide range of airport data; access to the data from any client user or system; and,
distribution of selected data to any airport system. AODB - Amex
Options Display Book (AODB). At the American Stock Exchange, prior to the opening
of an option, market and limit orders are accumulated in the Amex Options Display Book
(AODB). Member firms enter their orders into the Common Message Switch (CMS) and then
orders are routed to the AODB. During the opening process, the floor specialist
electronically retrieves the stored orders, and through the use of an "Opening
Overview" or "Opening Assist" feature, is able to open each series of an
option -- individually, or multiple series simultaneously. Through pre-defined parameters,
orders are routed to various "windows" in the AODB. There is an
"Acknowledgment Box" for displaying incoming market and executable limit orders,
or any order directed to the ACK Box by filter settings. AODB - An overview of AODB (Airport
Operational Database) from EDS (Electronic
Data Systems). The linked presentation is entitled: Airport IT Systems in the Digital
Economy by Aaron Turner. It discusses Travel in the Digital Economy. AODB - AODB (Airport Operational Database)
